Insurance, CDCP & financing

Dental coverage can be confusing. Our goal is to make the money side as clear as the clinical side, so you always know what something costs and how your benefits apply before we begin. New to the practice? See what to expect at your first visit.

Direct billing: less paperwork for you

Wherever your plan permits it, we bill your insurance company directly. That means you pay only your share at the appointment instead of covering the full amount and waiting weeks for a reimbursement cheque. Bring your policy details to your first visit and we’ll handle the submission for you.

We work with most major Canadian dental insurers, including Sun Life, Canada Life, Manulife, and Pacific Blue Cross, among others. If your provider isn’t listed here, call us at 604-856-7860. We very likely work with them.

The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP)

The Canadian Dental Care Plan is a federal program that helps eligible Canadian residents without private dental insurance afford the care they need. Eligibility is based on annual family income and has been rolling out by age group. Service Canada determines your eligibility and enrols you; once you’re covered, we can help you understand what the plan pays toward your treatment.

We support patients using the CDCP. Because the program’s details and coverage amounts are set by the government and can change, please call us to confirm the current specifics for your situation, and we’ll walk you through it.

No insurance? You’re still welcome

Plenty of our patients don’t have dental benefits, and that’s completely fine. We keep our fees transparent, provide written estimates before any treatment, and offer payment options so the cost of larger work can be spread out rather than paid all at once. If you might qualify for the CDCP, we’ll point you in the right direction. See our financing options for details.

Getting the most from your benefits

A few simple habits help your coverage go further: use preventive visits, which many plans cover fully; don’t let your annual maximum expire unused before it resets; and, for bigger treatment, ask us about timing the work across two benefit years. We’re happy to map out a plan that respects both your health and your coverage.

Insurance & CDCP questions

Do you accept the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP)?

We support patients using the Canadian Dental Care Plan and will help you understand what it covers for your treatment. Because program details and provider participation can change, please call 604-856-7860 so we can confirm the current details for your situation.

Who is eligible for the CDCP?

The Canadian Dental Care Plan is a federal program for Canadian residents without private dental insurance, below an annual family income threshold set by the government. Eligibility has been expanding by age group. Service Canada confirms your eligibility and enrols you; we can then help you use your coverage here.

Do you offer direct billing to insurance?

Yes. Wherever your plan allows it, we bill your insurer directly so you only pay your portion at the appointment instead of waiting for a reimbursement. Bring your plan or policy details to your first visit.

Which insurance plans do you accept?

We work with most major Canadian dental insurers, including Sun Life, Canada Life, Manulife, and Pacific Blue Cross, among others. If you don’t see your provider, call us. We very likely accept it.

What if I don’t have any dental insurance?

You’re still welcome here. We keep our pricing transparent, give written estimates before treatment, and offer payment options so you can spread the cost of larger treatment over time. We’ll also check whether you qualify for the CDCP.

How can I get the most from my dental benefits?

Use your annual maximum before it resets, schedule preventive cleanings that are often fully covered, and plan larger treatment across two benefit years when it makes sense. We’ll help you sequence treatment to make your coverage go further.
