Dr. Aman Kalucha, DDS
A Dalhousie-trained dentist who completed a competitive General Practice Residency and was recognized for both clinical skill and patient compassion, now caring for families across West Abbotsford.
Dr. Aman Kalucha leads the team at Mount Lehman Dental, where his goal is simple: give people in the Fraser Valley honest advice and comfortable, well-planned dental care. He believes the best dentistry starts with listening (understanding what's bothering you, what you want for your health, and what fits your life) before recommending a single thing.
Education and training
Dr. Kalucha began his dental education with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from Baba Farid University of Health Sciences in Punjab, India, then earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from Dalhousie University in Halifax in 2020, one of Canada's most respected dental schools.
What sets his training apart is what came next. He completed a General Practice Residency (GPR) at Dalhousie, a competitive additional year of hospital-based training that relatively few general dentists pursue. During the residency he treated complex restorative, surgical, and endodontic (root canal) cases under the direct supervision of dental specialists. That experience built the judgment he relies on today: knowing how to handle difficult cases, when a problem is straightforward, and when it calls for extra care.

How Dr. Kalucha practises
Dr. Kalucha's approach rests on three things patients tell us they value most. First, he listens: appointments aren't rushed, and you'll always understand your options before any decision is made. Second, evidence over upselling: he recommends treatment because it's the right call for your health, not to fill a schedule. Third, comfort matters, especially for patients who feel anxious about the dentist. If that's you, you're in good company here, and we'll move at your pace.
Outside the office
Dr. Kalucha lives in the Lower Mainland with his wife (also a dentist) and their two children. When he isn't at the practice, he's usually spending time with family, listening to music, or out playing cricket and badminton. He's proud to put down roots serving the Abbotsford community and the wider Fraser Valley.
